MAD GOOD MOVIE

Use of my time.

I waste alot of time doing nothing at the suites. Xbox and watching movies probably are not the best things to do. But they are the funnest ones. Im trying to take more time for homework and not put it off until the last minute. I don't think i'll ever be able to do that though. The strengths in my time is me playing basketball, doing my homework, playing flag football and nothing else really. I could probably take out all the nights when i go to Cortland, but those are the best parts of ym week

Worst learning experience I remember having

There are so many experiences for me that were absolutly terrible. But the worst one of all was when I went to a party with my friends from Long Island and Elmira. Everything went well until we finally got home at around 2:30 AM. We were hungry, so one of my friends decided to drive when he was drunk. At the time it seemed like it was harmless. McDonalds was only across the bridge. We made it there and were on our way back to my house. While crossing the bridge the lights to my car would not turn back on, and from there we knew we would be pulled over. Next to a convenient store we pulled overto get out and walk the rest of the way. At the same time we did that, a cop pulled up behind us with his lights on. Automatically assuming the driver was drunk, there was nothing we could do but lie. That made the situation worse, and next thing you know the police are searching my car for drugs. Who knows why, but my friend was arrested and taken to jail as soon as he blew into the breathilizer or whatever its called. So me and my friend from Long Island sat there for forty five minutes with our hands on our heads waiting for this german shepard tto get dont searching my car for drugs. Like I told the cops there was nothing in the car so I did not get any charges. They took my car and told me I could pick it up in the morning when I was sober. I learned from this terrible experience because I watched one of my best friends get a DWI that night. When I explained this to my parents, they were tight about it. I learned not to let one of my friends drive a car while they are drunk. That was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. It seemed like a harmless thing to do, but you learn quickly that it was one of the dumbest things for a person to do, especially when you are under 21. Worst experience of my life.

Best learning experiences I remember having

The best learning experience I ever had was finally getting a job. I learned that I have to have a way to get there everyday. Also I learned that my mom was not going to give me money for gas anymore, unless I was completly broke. Another thing I learned is in order to eat every single day of the week, I have to save my money, which I never use to be able to do. I would just blow it on random things, but now I save it because I know that in the real world you have to have money in order to do anything. This was the best learning experience for me because I think it helped me grow up in a way. Even though I am no where close to being an adult, at least this was a start.

Last weekend

I did not spend my last weekend in Cortland like I usually would. Instead i went back to Elmira to take care of things I needed done for school. I had to get my certificate of residency, which was already past the date it was due. They still accepted it, so hopefully my financial aid goes through. Also, when I went home I visited some of my friends that I havn't talked to since I left for school in August. I helped put a fence up around my friends yard to keep the crack heads next door out of his yard. Thats a true story, no exaggeration. But once we finished this I went to Paesanos...the best pizza place in Elmira to eat dinner. It was mad good, I suggest going there if your ever in Elmira. Then on Saturday I went home to talk to my mom. I went out to lunch with her, then got my certificate of residency done. After that I went to Red Lobster to let my managers know when my first break is and when I could work. Went out that night, to bad Elmira's wack and the cop's ruin everything. Woke up the next day and left first thing in the morning to make it back to the suites to watch the Giants vs Titans game. That did'nt go so well, the Giants got wrecked by them.

The Bystander Effect

For all four situations in The Bystander Effect I would react. In situation one I would call the cops so they can arrest the guy. In situation two I would call the cops then try to get the guy off of the women, especially if she did not know the guy. Even if they were married, like in situation three, I would call the cops and break the fight up between them. But in the situation in New York City with Kitty Genovese I don't know what I would do. First I would call the cops, but after that I would not want to interfere because I could be stabbed or I could stab the other guy. I like to stay away from those kind of situations, so I would have to wait for the police to get to the apartments.

Sept. 28 2010

Had today off, happy for that. Still went to campus to do some of my math and history homework. Its alot easier to do my homework there, its impossible to do it at the suite with all of my friends around. Stopped at Subway on the way home and got a buffalo chicken sub. Then I played UFC until four o'clock. Once my rommates all got back from class, some of us watched Notorious to burn time. I finally finished all of my english homework at 10:15. That took about three hours. And I always forget to blog even though its kind of cool, just saying.

Had no classes today, wrote a couple essays and watched season three of Entourage. Even though i've seen it a million times. Went and watched some of the soccer game at TC3 against Corning Community College. They won 7-1 and I was happy because I use to go to CCC. After that i went to the 7 on 7 flag football with my roomates and a couple othe people from school. It was pretty sick, even though the games didn't start tonight, but on Thursday. Now i'm going to write this journal for english, then watch Alpha Dog with some friends.

9/11/2001

On September 11th, 2001 I still lioved in Paso Robles, California. When I woke up my mom was freaking out. It was only seven in the morning in Cali. and I was in fifth grade. The video of the planes crashing on the TV i thought was from a movie, so I didn't think anything of it. When I went ro school that day I realized it was real. My teacher had us take two weeks off from class work to learn about what had happened to our country. My grandfather still lived in New York City, so then I realized why my mom was worried. He lived in Queens, so when we talked to him he said that he was fine. I was young but I understood how serious this situation was and that a war was most likely going to start.
