Worst learning experience I remember having

There are so many experiences for me that were absolutly terrible. But the worst one of all was when I went to a party with my friends from Long Island and Elmira. Everything went well until we finally got home at around 2:30 AM. We were hungry, so one of my friends decided to drive when he was drunk. At the time it seemed like it was harmless. McDonalds was only across the bridge. We made it there and were on our way back to my house. While crossing the bridge the lights to my car would not turn back on, and from there we knew we would be pulled over. Next to a convenient store we pulled overto get out and walk the rest of the way. At the same time we did that, a cop pulled up behind us with his lights on. Automatically assuming the driver was drunk, there was nothing we could do but lie. That made the situation worse, and next thing you know the police are searching my car for drugs. Who knows why, but my friend was arrested and taken to jail as soon as he blew into the breathilizer or whatever its called. So me and my friend from Long Island sat there for forty five minutes with our hands on our heads waiting for this german shepard tto get dont searching my car for drugs. Like I told the cops there was nothing in the car so I did not get any charges. They took my car and told me I could pick it up in the morning when I was sober. I learned from this terrible experience because I watched one of my best friends get a DWI that night. When I explained this to my parents, they were tight about it. I learned not to let one of my friends drive a car while they are drunk. That was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. It seemed like a harmless thing to do, but you learn quickly that it was one of the dumbest things for a person to do, especially when you are under 21. Worst experience of my life.
